What is Salt Therapy?
Salt is a powerful sterilizer and anti-inflammatory agent. When the micro-sized salt particles are inhaled, they influence the respiratory tract, immune system, cardiovascular system, and the mental/ emotional state. While there are many varieties and uses of salt, salt can be a therapeutic way to restore balance and wellness.
What do I do during a salt room session?
Receiving a salt room session is simple, easy and relaxing! Just recline in one of our comfy chairs for your session. You may read, list to music, meditate or take a nap. It’s that simple.
The Salt Room accommodates multiple guests at a time. Because of this communal, coed setting, we request that quiet be maintained and no cell phones, please. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or strong scents.
Who will benefit from a Salt Room session?
Salt therapy can alleviate the symptoms of chronic and temporary respiratory challenges including:
• Persistent cough
• Allergies and hay fever
• Ear infections
• Cystic fibrosis
Additionally, salt therapy benefits inflammatory skin conditions such as: psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, itching, rosacea, and even skin aging.
Who should NOT take a salt room session?
Please consult with your physician if you are pregnant, or have any form of tuberculosis, hyperthyroidism, late stage lung cancer or chronic kidney disease. Please avoid the salt room is you have a fever or any contagious condition, as well as open wounds or sores.
